Last month the Darlington Presbyterian Church came back for a fun-filled week of Kids Club. We'd like to thank them for
providing lots of fun and learning for the kids. Thank you to all the kids who participated in the summer activities and thanks to the parents for encouraging them to attend.

We've noticed a lot of families come in to say they did not know a certain activity was going on. Please encourage your neighbors to read the newsletter, we share with everyone what is going on monthly.

During the water slide day, the kids were treated to lunch and delicious apples, cookies, and bread. Thank you to Ms. Elease Suber for baking for the kids. The word is they tasted great!! Please remember the Housing Authority of Darlington has a 10:00 pm curfew. This does not mean you need to be in your apartment at 10:00 pm, but if you are caught loitering, there is a possibility the police will be involved.

Parents, please remind your children the A/C units are not chairs, and they are not to be sat upon.

REMINDER: Income reporting: All income has to be reported, whether it is Child Support, Social Security, Employment wages, Unemployment, or AFDC from DHS. This includes income from all heads of household and adult (18+) household members. HUD has a system in place, called EIV (Enterprise Income Verification System) that can pull all income sources except Child Support & AFDC

Upcoming Events

Important Dates:

  • 09/01 Rent Due
  • 09/04 Labor Day/Office Closed
  • 09/06 Late Fee Applies to unpaid rent

Air Conditioning Tip Avoid turning the A/C off completely; instead, you should increase the temperature when you are away from home. The A/C unit may run when you're not home for a few minutes at a time, but this is more energy efficient than turning it on when you get home and then it running for hours at a time.

Walk In Days are Wednesdays. On any other day, you'll need to schedule an appointment.
