The Housing Authority of Darlington has a zero-tolerance policy regarding
Illegal Drug Use And Weapons On Our Property
If you see any of this activity, please call the police first and then call the office.
Moving Out - please complete a Change of Address form at the post office prior to moving. Once you move out and turn your key(s) into the office, staff do not have access to open mailboxes for former residents to get any mail that has been delivered after keys have been turned in.
Partial Rent Payments - your check or money order must cover at least one full month rent or it will be returned to you (unless you have gotten prior approval from the Housing Director, Mrs. Elaine Bell-Ansong).
Smoking - No smoking permitted on any property owned by the Housing Authority. If you, members of your household and guest smoke, you (the resident) will be subject to receiving a lease violation and possible termination of your lease.
Income Change - Residents must report all changes in income (such as a new job, a raise, or loss of income) within ten (10) days. If you fail to report new income or changes in pay or hours in writing to the Housing Director, Mrs. Elaine Bell Ansong, you are committing fraud and could be prosecuted.
Pet Policy - Pets must be pre-registered with the Housing Authority and have up to date vaccinations. Residents are not allowed to pet sit animals not registered within their household. Pets must be on a leash.
Maintenance problems - Please call Mrs. Karen Beedy, Maintenance Director, 843.393.0436 extension 2003. If she does not answer, please leave a detailed message stating your name, address and the nature of your problem. If you have a problem after hours, please call the Emergency Line 843.496.8519 and leave a detailed message if there is no answer.
Maintenance will not enter your unit to make repairs if children under the age of eighteen (18) are at home alone.
Evictions - If an eviction is filed with the magistrate, residents will be required to pay all past due balances to stop the eviction.

Eat a balanced breakfast: Start your day strong with a breakfast that includes lean protein, whole grains, and fruits or vegetables.
Make half your plate fruits and vegetables: Incorporate a mix of fresh, frozen, or canned fruits and vegetables into your meals.
Stay hydrated: Aim to drink 8-10 glasses of water per day.
Add whole grains: Make all grains whole grains, such as whole wheat, amaranth, quinoa, brown rice, and oatmeal.
Get moving: Aim for at least 30 minutes of exercise at least 3 times per week.
These tips can help you make small, sustainable changes in your daily routine and improve your nutrition.
