Important Dates for Residents
- April 1st - Rent, Retro Rent and Repayments Due
- April 2nd - OFFICE CLOSED in observation of Good Friday
- April 5th - Last Day to put Rent in Drop Box before 4:30 PM
- April 6th - Rent plus $25 Late Fee
- April 6th - Late Notices Delivered
- April 13 - Evictions Filed for March Rent
Requesting a Copy of your Lease
When you do your Recertification, you receive a copy of your new Lease in your email or in person or by mail or hand delivered to you. It is your responsibility to keep it so when you are asked to provide a copy of your Lease, you will have it. Effective immediately, if you request a copy of your Lease, you will be required to pay one dollar ($1.00) per page (a money order will be required). When you recertify Page 4 of your Lease needs to be signed by all adult members of your household and dropped in the Drop Box.
Reminders:
The Housing Authority of Darlington has a zero-tolerance policy regarding ILLEGAL DRUG USE AND WEAPONS ON OUR PROPERTY.
If you see any of this activity, please call the police first and then call the office.
The Housing Authority of Darlington is Smoke Free Property.
FAILURE TO KEEP YOUR LIGHTS, GAS AND WATER ON WILL RESULT IN YOUR LEASE BEING CONSIDERED FOR TERMINATION
Drop Box
Please continue to use the Drop Boxes at the entrance to the office. Please print your name and address on your money orders to ensure they are posted to your account.
Towing
Towing is still in effect. If you are ill and your car is not operable, please inform your Housing Manager (Elaine Bell-Ansong) and/or the Maintenance Department (Karen Beedy), so they can inform the towing company if an inquiry is made about your vehicle.
Garbage Cans
Please do not dispose of any kind of grease or oil around your unit. Put these items in disposal container and throw in trash.
Please remove your trash container from curbside as promptly as possible. Leaving it beside the curb is a violation of Darlington City Ordinance.
Door Barricade Reinforcement
Please do not use Door Barricade Reinforcement on your doors. In case of a maintenance emergency or medical emergency, staff, city police and emergency personnel must have access to your apartment.
Safety
It is getting warm and children will be out playing, please watch out for them when driving.
Summer is approaching, please do not loiter on premises after the 10:00pm Curfew.
The Community Room at Pine Village is available to Rent

- Friday - Saturday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Not available for rent on Sundays, Holidays, or weekends of a Holiday.
No Alcoholic beverages or smoking allowed on premises.
Cost:
- Tenants: $150.00
- Non-Tenants: $200.00
Refundable Deposit of $50.00 is due at time of booking.
(Refundable if room is cleared and vacated at time stated on contract to close)

In case of an After-Hours Emergency, please call 843.496.8519, speak clearly leaving your name, phone number, address, brief description of the emergency. You will receive a call back. An emergency is classified as anything that threatens the health and safety of residents or Housing Authority of Darlington property
