Notice to Residents

Effective July 1, 2025, the Housing Authority of the City of Darlington will no longer accept partial payments to be applied to your rent.  If a payment is sent in less than the monthly rent amount, it will be returned to the sender.

Effective July 1, 2025, the Housing Authority of Darlington will enforce if an Eviction is filed, you will be required to pay the amount that was listed on the Eviction Notice plus the rent that has accumulated since the Eviction was filed.  If both are not paid, the eviction process will continue.

Effective July 1, 2025, the Housing Authority of the City of Darlington will no longer enter into Payment Agreements for past due rent.  Payment Agreements will only be for maintenance charges and retro rent.

Effective July 1, 2025, the Housing Authority will enforce if you are currently in a payment agreement and you fail to make payments as agreed, you will be required to pay the full balance, or you may receive a Notice to Vacate your unit.
